Duress and Lone Worker
Staff Safety

workM8 automates the processes needed to complete welfare checks and manage staff safety in the field.

The workM8 mobile application provides a number of deployment ready staff safety tools as well as the option to configure workflows and escalations to meet the many unique environments.

In addition to the standalone workM8 mobile application we ensure our customers are not constrained by supporting a range of third-party hardware including wearables, fobs and pendants.

All location, escalation and alarm data is available real-time through the workM8 dashboard.

Assistance and Duress

workM8 allows staff in the field to request assistance through the mobile application or through a wearable connected device. When an assistance request is raised workM8 follows a pre-defined escalation process utilising multi channel communication. By using the Team Assist Service, workM8 can determine the location of colleagues and prioritise dispatch based on response time. Resilience is key to delivering business critical services and as such workM8 is delivered via a highly redundant environment with associated SLAs. To find out more click here.

Dwell Time Monitoring

How long should an individual be in an area? Are they in danger if they exceed that time? workM8 can monitor entry and exit times for defined geo-fences and build a business process should the expected time be exceeded. Importantly workM8 provides the flexibility for the times and locations to be fixed by head office or defined real-time by remote workers (mental health nurses, council wardens, utilities workers etc). Explicit Compliance and Adherence Events

Should an alarm be raised, or an event detected through integrated IoT/sensor networks (workM8 deployed or other), workM8 workflows can be used broadcasts to field workers to ensure awareness and appropriate procedures, i.e. evacuation procedures, are communicated effectively.

Traditionally, a “Yes” response to a text message received, is an only implicit acknowledgment and may be insufficient to achieve adherence to specific instructions. Instructions being pushed to your field workers based on context (like team or location), together with multi-step interactive digital forms including sign-on-glass and automatic location recording technology, can help ensure explicit compliance. Context and Customised Workflows

When a Lone Worker alarm/escalation event is raised just sending an SMS or a Voice call to one or a list of people is often not sufficient to ensure the event is handled optimally.

When harnessing workM8, the alarm has additional context automatically added to it, such as device type, location, team, time of day or other custom meta data to ensure appropriate routing and event handling with minimal chance of human error.

In workM8 workflows can be customised as multiple-step activities, in synchronous (one action at a time) or asynchronous (multiple actions in parallel) modes, using technologies such as two way SMS, Email, Voice Calls, Digital forms, Mobile App Notifications and external/remote system web hooks such as those to maned monitoring centres.

Post the alarm/event; full audit trails are available to ensure reviews can be made to the workflow to improve your safety compliance continuously. For more information click here.

Device Agnostic

The environment in which your teams operate may demand you to have specific requirements for each, which means one device may not be suitable for all your team's needs. For example, in clinical environments, wearables such as duress watches may not be worn for hygiene reasons.

workM8 have a variety of devices available, tailored to each use case while managed by a single platform reducing your need for acquiring multiple solutions. Whether your need is for a shared or personally assigned solution, workM8 devices and applications (mobile and wearable) can simplify the way your team can interact and seek help when time is critical to the response outcome. For more information click here.
